Aug 13,2024

A truck-mounted crane is widely used in municipal construction, coal mine engineering, landscaping, and other infrastructure projects for the lifting and transportation of construction materials and other equipment.

A crane truck, also known as a mounted crane, is a device that uses a hydraulic lifting and telescopic system to lift, rotate, and hoist goods. It is typically mounted on a cargo truck.

It generally consists of a cargo truck chassis, cargo box, power take-off, and crane. The cargo truck chassis can be selected from various tonnages such as Dongfeng, Jiefang, Auman, Steyr, and Tangjun. Cranes can be categorized by manufacturer (e.g., Wuyi, Xinfenggong, Tieyun, XCMG, Hongchang Tianma, Jianghan, Yutong Heavy Industry, Feitao, Shimei), type (straight boom or knuckle boom), and tonnage (2, 3.2, 4, 5, 6.3, 8, 10, 12, 16, and 20 tons). Crane booms are classified into straight boom and folding boom types. Generally, knuckle boom cranes are more expensive than straight boom cranes of the same tonnage. The advantages of mounted cranes include good mobility, quick transfer, integration of lifting and transportation functions, improved resource utilization, and a significantly lower price compared to truck cranes. However, they require outriggers during operation, are unsuitable for use on slopes or soft/muddy ground, and have inferior lifting performance compared to truck cranes. Mounted cranes can be equipped with various auxiliary tools such as wood grabs, cradles, brick clamps, and drilling tools for versatile operations. Due to their flexibility and versatility, mounted cranes are viewed favorably in the market and possess significant future market potential.
