Maintenance | Winter Daily Maintenance Guide for Marine Aerial Vehicles

Release time:

Dec 30,2025

The stable operation of marine aerial work platforms relies on scientific maintenance, and standardized operation is an important guarantee for maintaining safety. Based on the characteristics of diesel and electric equipment, combined with the low temperature characteristics in winter and daily use needs, this concise and practical maintenance guide can help you reduce failures and extend equipment life!

1、 Diesel version aerial work platform
(1) Winter exclusive protection
The winter diesel version equipment needs to be well adapted to low temperatures, and the designated grade of diesel should be replaced according to the temperature to avoid fuel waxing; Hydraulic oil should be selected according to the specifications with a temperature range of -15 ℃, and use regular antifreeze that meets the minimum environmental temperature requirements. It is strictly prohibited to add water to prevent the cylinder body from freezing and cracking. Before starting, turn on the preheating function. After the preheating light goes out, start the engine. It can be preheated 2-3 times in extreme cold weather. If the engine fails, try again every 2 minutes. After starting, idle for 5-15 minutes to allow the oil to circulate and heat up. After the battery is operated, it should be fully charged in a timely manner. If it is parked for a long time, it should be recharged every 15 days. If it freezes, it needs to be thawed at room temperature before recharging. The negative electrode insulation protection can be removed; Drain the water from the oil-water separator daily below 0 ℃ to prevent blockage. Priority should be given to indoor dry areas for parking, and outdoor areas should be kept away from falling objects and covered with waterproof covers. The platform should be cleared of snow and dust, and the hydraulic system should be checked for leaks.
(2) Regular daily maintenance
Follow the maintenance cycle, change the oil and filter within 50 hours for the first time, and replace them regularly according to the specifications thereafter; Check the sealing of the hydraulic system, the welding seams of the arm frame, and the lubrication of the pin shaft every 250 hours. Replace the hydraulic oil and filter element according to the prescribed cycle (shortened in dusty environments). Before daily homework, conduct a machine inspection to confirm that the support legs are stable, the hydraulic system is leak free, the protective devices are intact, the tires are normal, and the electrical system is sensitive. If any problems are found, immediately stop the machine for maintenance. It is strictly prohibited to work with problems.
2、 Electric version of aerial work platform
 (1) Winter exclusive protection
The key protection battery for electric aerial work vehicles in winter should be parked in an environment above 0 ℃ if conditions permit to avoid performance degradation; Charge with the original charger in a ventilated and dry place, away from flammable materials, and turn off the power promptly when fully charged. Shorten winter endurance, plan route duration before operation, and reserve 20% emergency power; When the device is idle, it needs to be charged once a month.
 (2) Regular daily maintenance
Perform periodic maintenance and check the battery terminals for looseness and corrosion every 500 hours (corrosion should be treated according to specifications); Check the motor and electronic control system every 1000 hours, and replace the hydraulic oil and filter according to regulations. Before daily homework, check the battery level, hydraulic system for leaks, effective braking, and intact protection. Test the emergency descent function and promptly handle any abnormalities.
3、 Safe operation: cooperate with maintenance, safeguard equipment and personnel safety
Operators must hold valid certificates and are strictly prohibited from working without certification, under the influence of alcohol, or when fatigued. Protective equipment such as goggles, safety helmets, and seat belts must be worn during operation. The work site is solid and flat, with all legs fully extended and firmly grounded; Working at heights is strictly prohibited during wind speeds of level 6 or above, thunderstorms, and blizzards. Overloading is not allowed on the platform, and climbing guardrails or working beyond the designated range is strictly prohibited. The operation of the boom should be smooth and avoid sudden stops and turns. If encountering obstacles, the machine should be stopped and adjusted first; If the equipment malfunctions such as abnormal noise or leakage, immediately lower the platform and cut off the power supply. After passing the inspection, it can be used again.
